Pastor Robert Earl Houston
Bio: Robert Earl Houston, 55, is the senior pastor of the historic First Baptist Church of Frankfort, Kentucky, a 182 year old congregation located in the state capitol, where he has served for six years. He was one of the first African-American baptist pastors to utilize the internet for providing information and ministry. He is a nationally known preacher and teacher. Denominationally he has been a member of all four of the traditional National Baptist Conventions and has served as a Vice-Moderator, State President, and National Assistant to the President; Currently he is the Chairman of the Board of the American Baptist Newspaper, one of the oldest African-American newspapers in the nation. He has written articles for numerous publications and newspapers and his photographs have appeared in numerous articles. After 37 years of ministry, he is considered to be one of the leading historians and commentators on the Black Church. He is married to Jessica Georgette Houston.
